Chief Minister moots Maha Sankalpam every month

Amaravati: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is going to review the progress of works or schemes taken up during Maha Sankalpam every month on 8th, from next month onwards. As there is only one year left for the general elections, the Chief Minister decided to reach all the targets set in the Maha Sankalpam on Friday.

Every June 8 is being observed as Maha Sankalpam to mark the swearing in of Chandrababu Naidu as Chief Minister in 2014. During a teleconference on the concluding day of Nava Nirmana Deeksha and also on the Maha Sankalpam on Friday, Chandrababu Naidu urged the officials to put maximum efforts in reaching the goals.

He said that the government machinery was successful in organising the six-days Nava Nirmana Deeksha out of the seven days programme. The state government achieved so many milestones in the last four years, observed Chandrababu Naidu.

He asked the people to participate actively in development of their respective villages and there must be a healthy competition in development of the villages across the state.

Stating that the villages were developed better than before, Chief Minister said that each village got concrete roads, perfect drainage systems, LED street lights, maintaining cleanliness and greenery improved. He felt very happy to see the developments in the villages. In the past, villages suffered due to dirt and lack of proper roads and drainage systems, he stated.

The rains also following the Nava Nirmana Deeksha programmes, which was a good sign for the farmers in the state, Naidu said. Officials informed that about 35 lakh people participated on the sixth day of Nava Nirmana Deeksha on Thursday. The Chief Minister was  informed that there was tremendous response from public for these programmes, even when compared to the Janma Bhoomi – Maa Vooru programme the response was good.

More than 10,000 inaugurations, nearly 20,000 foundations, 85, 000  house sanctions and other welfare and development programmes took place on Thursday, explained the officials to Chief Minister. He expressed satisfaction over the less number of grievances received from public during the entire Nava Nirmana Deeksha programme. Officials mentioned that they received only 2,891 grievances from public for the last six days.
