No funds problem for city development, says Mayor

Rajamahendravaram: Mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai has said that steps have been taken to execute development works on a massive scale in the city and there is no funds problem in this regard.

Inaugurating pipelines in 12th division here on Friday, she said the corporation was giving top priority for drinking water supply, sanitation, strengthening of
roads and drains and lighting. 

The corporation was spending an amount of Rs 39 lakh to the pipeline, which combat drinking water problem in the division.

The pipeline works would be completed shortly in the division and the officials were directed to speed up the works. 

Silt clearing work in the drains would also be taken up on a war-footing basis, as the rainy season was approaching. Steps were taken to avoid inundation of low-lying areas in the city during rainy season.

She advised the officials to coordinate with respective division corporators while executing development works.
