Raghuveera dares TDP for a debate
Eluru: Andhra Pradesh Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president N Raghuveera Reddy challenged the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to come for an open debate on the failures of State government.
The PCC chief reached Tadepalligudem on Friday afternoon and released a charge-sheet on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP)’s betrayal. Speaking on the occasion, Raghuveera pointed out that the BJP and TDP had assured that they would implement all the promises made in AP Reorganistion Act-2014 and ensure justice to Andhra Pradesh.
However, both the TDP and BJP failed to implement the assurances given during the State’s bifurcation, he said. “We have prepared a charge-sheet to expose the Telugu Desam Party’s betrayal to the State people. The charge-sheet is being released all over the State,” he added.
The PCC president challenged the TDP to come for open debate on the State’s progress. He said the ruling party could decide the venue for the debate and they were ready to participate.
Referring to the charge-sheet, he said while the TDP govt was supposed to waive loan worth Rs 30,000 taken by each DWCRA woman, it so far waived only Rs 4,000. No bills were paid for Indiramma houses and the eligible were deprived of houses in the State. He alleged that the
TDP was delaying the Polavaram Project only to receive kickbacks.
Former MP Kanumuri Bapiraju, West Godavari District Congress president Rafiullah Baig, AICC leader Jetti Gurunatha Rao and Eluru city Congress President Rajanala Ramamohan Rao participated in the programme.
