Rains bring prosperity in Rayadurg segment

Rayadurg (Anantapur): Rains in 2017 and the advent of Krishna water to Bhairavani Thippa changed the face of villages in Gummagutta mandal in Rayadurg Assembly constituency. Minister for Rural Housing Kalva Srinivas, who visited the villages in the mandal, was amazed to see fertile crop lands and the harvested grain by farmers which resembled crop lands in Konaseema in West Godavari district.

Last year, rains filled Bhairavani Thippa reservoir up to 53 feet level. The Minister released water for crops and the result is an abundant harvest of crops. Krishna water is being brought to Bhairavani Thippa which is expected to totally transform the region, rains or no rains here.
