Service Activities mark BV Raju Death Anniversary

 Bhimavaram: Dr BV Raju Foundation and Sri Vishnu Educational Society have conducted various social service programmes in Bhimavaram and surrounding areas including Vishnu Campus on Friday, as part of Dr BV Raju’s 16th death anniversary.

The college directors, staff and students paid rich tributes to Dr Raju at his mausoleum in the Vishnu College campus in the morning. 

Later, the college principal, lecturers and students visited Father FMLR Centre in Sringavriksham and distributed mangoes, bread and biscuits to the patients. 

They visited St Mary’s Leprosy Centre in Bhimavaram and distributed medicines worth Rs 70,000 to the HIV/TB and leprosy patients and distributed rice, bread and biscuits. 

They visited Leprosy Colony in the 7th ward in Bhimavaram town and distributed monthly pensions, rice, mangoes, bread and biscuits to the colony residents. 

They also distributed mangoes, bread and biscuits to the people at Dr BV Raju Statue in Bhimavaram -Tadepalligudem road in Durgapuram area.  

They visited the Municipal High School in Durgapuram and distributed the biscuits, bread and mangoes to the students and the colony residents.
