US team visits Vellore Institute of Technology-AP campus

Vijayawada: The US-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) team visited the campus of Vellore Institute of Technology AP (VIT-AP) on Thursday to promote the idea of mutual understanding through educational and research exchange programmes for the students and faculty.

Charles Spect, Vice-Consul of USIEF, said that they would conduct a series of awareness sessions on various areas to students to obtain various categories of VISAs during the months of August/ September 2018. Dr Monica Setia, Regional Officer USIEF, expressed interest in areas of faculty development and academic exchange.

Dr Sekar Viswanathan, vice-president VIT AP, explained the various collaborations of VIT AP has with universities in the US. Senthil Kumar T, Cultural Affairs at the US Consulate, Hyderabad, highlighted the prospects of Fulbright Scholarships and professional exchange for the benefit of the faculty of VIT AP. He assured the options for faculty exchange programmes at VIT AP. Dr Subhakar, Vice-Chancellor, and Dr CLV Siva Kumar and others were present.
