Yanamala finds fault with Speaker’s action
Amaravati: Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu found fault with Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan decision that requesting the YSRCP MPs to give reconfirmation letters individually on their resignations.
In a press release on Thursday, Yanamala said it was against the established practices in the Parliament procedure. He said it was all part of the understanding and collusion between the YSRCP and BJP to evade the by-elections.
Yanamala said that it was a part of strategy that Sumitra Mahajan asked the YSRCP MPs to submit their reconfirmation letters on their resignations individually and give some more time to them over their resignations.
“There is no need to ask for reconfirmation letter by the Lok Sabha Speaker if the resignations submitted by the MPs are in the appropriate format. Explaining the reasons for their resignations in reconfirmation letter is also against rules,” he said. Yanamala asked as to why the Lok Sabha Speaker took two months to verify resignation of YSRC MPs though they submitted them in appropriate format.
“It is all part of strategy to evade by-elections in Andhra Pradesh. The two parties -BJP and YSRCP- knows very well that they will face defeat in 2019 elections. So, the parties are playing dramas on MPs resignations,” he said.
