AP Minister Rules Out Quitting TDP

Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya rubbished the reports that she will quit TDP.  The minister said she will contest on TDP ticket from Allagadda Assembly in 2019 elections. 

Participating in Nava Nirmana Deeksha in her native Kurnool district,  Akhila said she will  not quit TDP because the yellow party gave her political life. 

The minister also made it clear that she stood by her comments that women are more insecure and unsafe in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. She claimed Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was making all out efforts to lead women a descent life.  

In protest against the minister's comments,  BJP Mahila Morcha leaders took out rally demanding removal of Akhila from Chandrababu Naidu's cabinet.
