MLA seeks people support for TDP
Anantapur: MLA V Prabhakar Chowdary has appealed to people to support Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who had been making efforts to put the state on the path of development and prosperity despite facing financial problems after the bifurcation of the state.
Participating in the concluding ceremony of week-long Nava Nirmana Deeksha at SSBN College here on Friday, Prabhakar said Polavaram Project and building capital for the state were the two eyes of Naidu. Stating that Naidu committed to complete Polavaram Project, he said the Pattiseema Project had been taken up to supply water to Rayalaseema as a stop gap arrangement. So, the Krishna waters have been diverted to Rayalaseema districts particularly Anantapur, he added.
In the four years rule, he said the government provided transparent and corruption-free governance to the people and assured to set up Energy University and Central University in the district. Prabhakar took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for betraying people of AP by going back on the promises he made at Tirupati during electioneering.
He called upon people to teach a befitting lesson to Narendra Modi in the ensuing elections. He said the district was in for a major transformation and Kia Motors would employ 10,000 youth. District Collector Veera Pandian described the Nava Nirmana Deeksha as a platform for people to redress their problems. SP Ashok Kumar and Mayor Swaroopa also spoke.
