Synergies launches second unit
Visakhapatnam: Synergies Castings Limited amongst the three per cent of alloy wheel manufacturers in the world which can chrome-plate a wheel to OEM standards on Friday inaugurated its second next-gen state-of-the-art technology unit.
The $8 million facility, one of a kind in the country, will double the company’s capacity and allow it to offer a special chrome finish to customers. With this addition chrome production is expected to generate an additional revenue of Rs 120 crore.
The unit is fully automated and produces a better, higher quality plating of the alloy wheels that are environment-friendly and operator-safe. It has enhanced capability to plate wheels up to 26” diameter, higher energy efficiency, lower power consumption, zero water discharge, auto water recycling, recovery of heavy metals and ultrasonic cleaning.
Inaugurating the unit, Shobana KS Rao, VSEZ Development Commissioner congratulated the management and workers for setting it up in a record time. Shekhar Movva, President, said, ‘being in the zone we had access to multiple technology and equipment suppliers. The plant is the culmination of assimilating latest technology and equipment from China, Taiwan, South Africa and Germany.”
