TDP spreading lies to tarnish BJP image
Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is worried over what would happen to him and his party after Narendra Modi comes to power at the Centre in 2019, said BJP national executive member and MLC Somu Veerraju here on Friday.
Unable to digest the popularity of BJP and Narendra Modi’s charisma, Naidu and other TDP leaders were trying to tarnish the BJP’s image by spreading false propaganda, he alleged.
Addressing the media here on Friday, Veerraju said that Naidu was trying to gain sympathy and support from the people by highlighting
the pending projects from the Centre.
He was not explaining on what the BJP-led NDA govt did to the State during the last four years. The Centre was ready to extend special package to Andhra Pradesh after Naidu gave his consent. But he refused to accept it following pressure from YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, he said.
He said the work at Bhogapuram airport in Vizianagaram district was stopped by TDP government and it is for the government to decide whether they want a port at Dugarajapatnam or Ramayapatnam. He said the BJP was ready to fund the projects.
Speaking on Nava Nrimana Deeksha, Veerraju said that the TDP government was wasting public money on the ‘meaningless’ Deeksha. The budget for Nava Nrimana Deeksha is Rs 13 crore, but unofficially the TDP had spent over Rs 50 crore, he alleged. There was no governance for past one week as all the officials have been involved in the Nava Nrimana Deeksha, the BJP MLC said.
