Woman Held for Sexually Harassing Boy

Vijayawada: Generally, men or adolescent boys are arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) Act for indulging in crime against minor girls.
  
Strangely, a woman aged 40 years was arrested in Vijayawada on Saturday for allegedly sexually harassing a 15-year-old minor boy at Vambay Colony.

According to Nunna police, a woman residing at Vambay Colony C Block has been harassing a Class X student living in the same block for the past two months. Mother of the boy lodged a complaint with the Nunna police. 

Circle inspector MV Durga Rao investigated the case and arrested the accused woman. She was sent in 14 days judicial remand, said the circle inspector. 

This is the first case in Vijayawada in which a woman was arrested under the POCSO Act. The accused used to ask the boy to come home frequently, alleged the mother of the minor boy.
