Cheating case against pharma trader

Vijayawada: Nunna police station registered a case against pharmaceutical trader of Vijayawada on Sunday for allegedly cheating another drug trader of Narasaraopet. According to Nunna police, a local drug trader Amrutapudi Ravi had business connections with another trader Mutyala Venkateswara Rao of Narasaraopet for the past two years.

Ravi used to send drugs to Venkateswara Rao as a part of business. Recently, Venkateswara Rao paid Rs 33 lakh to Ravi as a part of the business deal for purchasing drugs. However, Ravi has been absconding for the past few days and switched off his mobile. Hence, Mutyala Venkateswara Rao lodged a complaint with Nunna police against Ravi. Station house officer M V Durga Rao is investigating the case.
