Forest officials seize 9 red sander logs 

Kurnool: The officials of Forest department on Sunday recovered 9 red sander logs that were dumped long ago at Muthuluru village. Nandyal Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), M Shiva Prasad, says thatthey had received information about the red sander longs presence beside a canal at Murhtulu village in Rudravaram mandal.

``With the information, we raided the spot and recovered 9 red sander logs weighing about 400 to 450 kgs. The approximate book value of the recovered logs would be around Rs.15 lakhs. These logs might have dumped long back so that they could be transported at a later stage,’’ Shiva Prasad said.
