Girl knocked down by van

Eluru: A 16-year old girl student was killed in a road accident while her father and sister sustained severe injuries when a speeding  Bolero van rammed into their bike at Sriparru village in Eluru rural mandal on Sunday.

According to police, Mungara Jhansi (16) of Penumaka Lanka village in Mandavalli mandal in Krishna district, along with her father M Srinivasa Rao, sister Sirisha, was proceeding towards Eluru on a motorcycle when the mishap took place.
