KVPS elects New Panel

Bhimavaram: Kula Vivaksha Porata Samiti (KVPS) West Godavari Delta Committee meeting has unanimously elected former MLA Digupati Raja Gopal as its president and Karumumanchi Kranti Babu as secretary.

The KVPS meeting also elected the new executive committee, according to a press release issued here on Sunday by KVPS district committee.

The meeting elected Digupati Rajagopal and Karumanchi Kranti Babu unanimously as president and secretary respectively.  

It also elected B Balaram, Juvvala Rambabu, T Suma as vice-presidents, Battula Vijaya Kumar, Kaneti Balaraju, Injeti Srinivas as assistant secretaries and another 23 leaders as executive members.

The meeting decided to take up the struggle against the attacks on Dalits in the district and the state. 

The meeting demanded that the government issue ordinance in the next Parliamentary session to protect the SC/ST Atrocities Act and include the Act in 9th Schedule of the Constitution.
