One held for blackmailing 3 women, gold recovered
Eluru: Police arrested one person on the charges of blackmailing three women after developing intimacy with them through social media and recovered 56 sovereigns of ornaments from his possession.
Speaking to media at Three-Town police station here on Sunday, Eluru DSP K Eswara Rao said that Chinnapalli Mukesh Sai,22, of Southern street in Eluru city, now residing in Bhimavaram, who pursued upto degree, was addicted to bad habits.
He was active in Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram and used to send friend requests to women profiles only. During chatting, he interacted with Vadlapatla Sowmya of RR Pet area in Eluru. She was undergoing training in HM Elevation Pilot Training Centre near Madhapur in Hyderabad.
During chat through instagram, he called on Sowmya to come to Old Bus stand and forcibly taken 2 sovereigns of gold chain. He threatened her that if she failed to give the gold chain, he will put her morphed photos on the web.
He also trapped Poorna of Visakhapatnam and her cousin Sirasapalli Lavanya over the phone. He threatened these two girls and snatched 528 gms of ornaments and spent it for his lavish living.
