Back to School: Badi Pilusthundi programme in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: To mark ‘World Day Against Child Labour’, a week-long programme ‘Back to School-Badi Pilusthundi’ would be conducted from Tuesday. The Forum for Child Rights- Childline 1098 in collaboration with government and non-government organizations conduct several programme in the city.
Speaking at a programme organised at the Child Rights premises here on Monday, Fr Bala Showry said that all the children should be given education and be involved in development. He said awareness should be created about child rights and everyone should cooperate in this regard.
He informed that the week-long programme would be inaugurated by District Collector B Lakshmikantham. He said that various awareness programmes were planned for the week, that include signature campaign, auto campaign, poster release and rally. The awareness programmes and workshop will be held at VMC School in Rajiv Nagar.
On June 14, a workshop would be organised at the railway station for GPRF, RPF, TTE, porters and safai wallas. On June 15, awareness programme and stickers posting campaign will conducted at Pandit Nehru Bus Station.
On June 16, an awareness programme for the migrant communities followed by an awareness programme at Gunadala Mary Mata Shrine on child marriage and child begging would be organised on June 17. On June 18, public awareness programme on child issues would be organised, he added.
