Bank employee arrested for stealing Rs 1 crore

Kadapa: The police on Tuesday arrested one Guru Mohan Reddy for duping SBI customers. Reddy, a resident of Prakash Nagar in Proddatur town, is working as a cashier in the SBI branch in Porumamilla mandal’s Ranga Samudram village.
Reddy, who had invested huge amounts in the share market and suffered massive losses in the process, had siphoned off cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 1 crore from the bank. Some officials who noticed the misappropriation, lodged a complaint.
The police promptly arrested Reddy and two others. Cash and ornaments worth Rs 1.08,30,000 were recovered from him.
