Call to make Guntur as child labour-free district

Guntur: District Legal Services Authority secretary Tejovathi said that it is the responsibility of everyone to eradicate child labour.

She addressed a meeting held on the occasion of World Child Labour Day at SC Corporation Hall on Tuesday. 

Speaking on the occasion, she felt that there was a need of combined effort to achieve this target and stressed the need to make Guntur district as a child labour-free district. 

Deputy Commissioner of Labour U Malleswara Kumar sought cooperation of parents and NGOs to eradicate child labour in the district. 

He urged the parents to admit their school-aged children to the schools immediately. 

Guntur Urban Additional SP Tirupal and others were present.
