AgriGold chairman, directors get bail

Vijayawada: Machilipatnam court reportedly granted bail to the accused in AgriGold case on Tuesday. According to information, the court granted bail to chairman Avva Venkata Rama Rao and six directors as the CID officials failed to show adequate evidence in the charge-sheet. AgriGold scam is one of the biggest in south India. Over 32 lakh customers and agents are waiting for the justice.

The High Court at Hyderabad recently issued directives for the auction of properties in the respective districts under the supervision of district auction committees. Full details of the court orders are awaited. So far, the chairman and other directors are in the prison.  They may be released soon after submitting surety.
