Eluru Mee-Seva centre fails to provide Service
Eluru: People of at least four Panchayats in Denduluru mandal have become victims of official apathy.
They have to depend on Mee Seva centre which works only one day in a week. The centre has a single computer system which has to cater all the official needs of the people from these villages.
For getting certificates and documents necessary to meet official needs of the people, the Mee Seva centre is the only source for them. In spite of that, the centre is available only one day every week.
While the centre was neglected in this manner, the Panchayat office is another headache for villagers of Sriparru village. All though a new secretary was appointed for the village, the official’s reluctance to take charge is posing many problems to the people.
The Panchayat premises becomes dirty and nobody is taking care of its hygiene. The office remains closed for several days as the new official was delaying taking charge.
The villagers waiting at the Panchayat office, expecting the official to be on duty, is the pathetic scene at the office.
While the toilets turned useless, the filter bed for supplying drinking water is abandoned. The store room remains open and nobody locks it.
Even the governing body has also failed to correct the bad condition of the Panchayat office. For those who visit the office on different works, are welcomed with empty chairs.
