Vijayawada girl attends leadership camp

Vijayawada: PB Siddhartha Arts and Science College (PBS) NCC cadet Sk Heena participated in the Advance Leadership Camp (ALC) at Kharagpur in West Bengal from May 28 to June 8, according to principal Dr M Ramesh.

He said here on Tuesday that 400 cadets attended the camp from four different directorates. All the cadets, who attended the camp, were interviewed by their respective battalion commanding officers.

He said that the main objective of this camp was to prepare cadets to clear their Service Selection Board (SSB) for recruitment into Indian Armed Forces. All the procedures of SSB was explained theoretically and practically. Extempore group discussions, word assessment tests, story writing and elocution were practised by most of the cadets.

Sk Heena  (AP16SWA375722) from AP, said that the camp was very useful for all those cadets who wish to join Indian Army. She said that through this camp, she could experience how the actual SSB is done. By participating in the camp she got clarity on the procedure of SSB, she added.
