Annual float festival from June 23 to 27

Tirupati: The massive temple tank, Padma Sarovaram is gearing up to host the colourful annual float festival of Goddess Padmavathi from June 23 to 27 in Tiruchanur, near here.

This five-day fete is observed every year here in the month of Jyesta. The festival begins on Dasami and concludes on Pournami. Goddess Padmavathi Devi in all Her divine splendour takes celestial ride on the finely decked float gliding along the holy waters of the temple tank, blessing the devotees.

TTD Tirupati JEO P Bhaskar released the poster on the float festival in his chambers on Wednesday evening. Temple Special Grade Deputy EO P Munirathnam Reddy was also present.
