Prakasam district Rural Medical Practitioners seek Govt. Training

Ongole: The Prakasam district unit of Rural Medical Practitioners Welfare Association demanded that the government implement GO No 465 and provide training and recognize them.

Members of the association organised a rally from Kapu Kalyanamandapam to the District Collectorate on Thursday.

Vemula Malakondaiah, district general secretary of the Rural Medical Practitioners Welfare Association said that the GO No 465 was issued to recognise the rural medical practitioners who completed the certificate training, but it was not implemented so far. 

He said that recognizing their services of availability in the rural area and providing emergency first aid treatment, the YS Rajasekhara Reddy government offered extensive training in medicine for 60 percent of them in the state. 

But the remaining rural medical practitioners are waiting for the training since then while the completed are waiting for recognition certificates.

Malakondaiah said that the Telangana government started training for the remaining in the Telangana from June 9 and demanded that the state government also announce starting date for the training.

The RMPs submitted a memorandum to the district Collector after they conducted a meeting with the other members at Kapu Kalyanamandapam.
