TDP leaders misleading people on Polavaram: MLC Madhav
Visakhapatnam: The Polavaram construction works were taken up with the efforts of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, said BJP MLC PVN Madhav during a party meeting here on Wednesday.
Addressing the media, Madhav said the BJP-led Central government had come forward to construct Polavaram Project but the present Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had intervened and took the project for his ‘commission’ benefits.
He alleged the TDP government had done nothing at Polavaram Project and said TDP leaders were misleading the people and pushing the State into a financial mess.
He said BJP president Amit Shah along with Nitin Gadkari will visit Andhra Pradesh as part of ‘Mission South’ with a programme titled ‘Sampark Abhiyan’ and interact with people directly and collect feedback over the Central government sponsored programme.
Due to unnecessary expenditure of state government, the common man was opting for loans even after the Central government funding welfare programmes benefitting them, he alleged.
Speaking on Railway Zone issue, Madhav criticised the TDP leaders for staging dramas when the BJP was planning to announce special railway zone under Visakhapatnam as its headquarters. During the BJP regime, the state has got 33 projects among which 10 were identified as prestigious ones.
