Andhra University offers diploma course for defence personnel

Visakhapatnam: Andhra University is offering six months diploma course on ‘Safety and Disaster Management’ for defence personnel in the Department of Meteorology & Oceanography. The classes for the course will be conducted from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm, said Director K Rajendra Prasad.

The resource persons will be drawn from the university academia, different scientific organisations, NDRF, IMD, NIO and experts from the industry. The candidates, who completed Intermediate / 10+2 course and working in defence are eligible to apply for the course.

Filled in applications should reach the head of the department, Meteorology & Oceanography with a registration fee of Rs 1,000 in form of demand draft on or before 5 pm on June 30. The counselling is scheduled for July 6 at the office of the directorate of admissions, Andhra University, Vijayanagar Palace, Pedawaltair, Visakahapatnam.  No separate call letter will be sent.
