Merit student adopted as part of Badi Pilustundi programme in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: As part of statewide ‘Badi Pilustundi’ programme, a donor came forward to adopt a Class X student of DSMC High School at Vidyadharapuram here on Friday. 

The donor, a representative of  XXX detergent soaps, Vakkalagadda Venkata Srinivasa Rao, would provide the educational expenses of Class X student Kovuri Lohita, according to the headmistress A Janaki Rani here on Friday. 

The HM said that the donor came forward to adopt and support the education expenses incurred by the poor and talented girl Lohita. The HM complimented the donor and wished the girl to reach high position in her life.

Srinivasa Rao said that after the girl reach good position in future, she should also adopt poor and needy people and extend support.

School staff and students participated in the programme.
