Real Time Chandrababu Naidu reviews road works via fiber net
Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday flew into a rage at a junior engineer and ordered his suspension when he found out that officials were not present at the road works that were going on at Kollipara in Guntur district.
The Chief Minister asked the Engineer-in-Chief to inquire into JE’s role and if his negligence is confirmed, further action should be initiated. He also suspended an official for his failure in removing the garbage dump at Swaraj Maidan in Vijayawada.
Naidu, for the first time, reviewed road repairs from the Real Time Governance Centre at the secretariat which provides a two-way interaction with anyone anywhere in the state.
The Chief Minster, seething with rage, for the officials’ lack of commitment to work, said that from July first week, he would be in touch with the people directly by holding video conference with them, using fiber net connectivity. The officials on the road would have to participate in video-conferences using their smart phones.
Naidu also learnt about the problems of the people at Chinapalem and Vallabhapuram in Guntur district, where the pipeline works were not yet completed. Stating that it was a negligence of both the contractor and officials concerned, he warned that he would take action on them.
As the rainy season is going to onset shortly, the officials were alerted to complete all ongoing road works. Enquiring about the failure of contractors in completing the works sanctioned in 2016, Chandrababu Naidu said that the reasons given by the officials were not convincing.
He reviewed cleanliness and maintenance work at Vijayawada and saw waste being dumped at Swaraj Maidan. The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation officials were questioned as to why they were failing in maintaining the city clean.
