Chandrababu Naidu to take part in Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations

Vijayawada: Eid-ul-Fitr (Ramzan) will be celebrated in the state on Saturday. With 30 days of fasting ended and crescent was sighted in different parts of the state, the clerics announced Ramzan will be celebrated on Saturday.

Elaborate arrangements have been made for the Namaz to be offered at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation stadium, Gandhiji Municipal Corporation high-school, Eedgah in Chittinagar, Eedgah in Ajit Singh Nagar, Gymkhana grounds and other places in the city. About 100 masjids located in different parts of city are illuminated to mark the Ramzan.

The 30 days of fasting ended on Friday. Similarly, masjids were spruced up in Guntur city also. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will participate in the prayers at IGMC stadium about 8.30 a.m. For the first time, the district administration is also taking part in the arrangements at the IGMC stadium.

Muslim Eedgah committee convener Muneer Ahmed said all arrangements have been made at the IGMC stadium for offering Namaz on Saturday morning. Tight security will be arranged near the stadium in view of the participation of the Chief Minister in the prayers. 

Haleem centres in the city will be closed in one or two days with the end of holy month of Ramzan. The traders did brisk business due to increasing demand for Haleem and other dishes for one month. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, PCC president N Raghuveera Reddy greeted the Muslims on the occasion of Ramzan.
