DLSA holds Medical Camp for Women Prisoners : Call to Maintain Healthy Lifestyle
Ongole: District judge MG Priyadarsini called upon the people to maintain healthy life style as health is wealth.
She was the chief guest at the medical camp conducted by the District Legal Services Authority for the women prisoners in the district jail here on Saturday.
Priyadarsini inaugurated the medical camp in the jail and asked the women prisoners to utilise the services of the doctors and take care of their health.
She appreciated the District Legal Services Authority for taking up vocational training for the women prisoners for the last 10 days and asked the women to make use of the training.
She later inspected various departments, including kitchen, and checked the food items, which were ready to serve to the prisoners.
She asked the jail authorities to improve the quality of food and increase the facilities for the prisoners.
T Raja Venkatadri, secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, explained the district judge that the DLSA is organising various types of programmes for the prisoners as per the directions of the State Legal Services Authority.
Dr B Sudharani, specialist from Siri Hospital, Dr Sridevi, Dr Madhubindu, lawyers Dh Latha, M Gargeyi, J Madhuri, paralegal volunteers BV Sagar, Ramadevi, jail superintendent INH Prakash, jailor PS Ramachandra Rao and others also participated in the medical camp.
