He pointed out that as per 2011 survey, 30 per cent of children were not going to schools due to financial problems. “I want to fulfill the dream of former Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy who wanted to take education to the doorsteps of the poor people,” Jagan said.

The YSRCP president reiterated that all the Navaratnas announced by him would be implemented after coming to power and asked the people to bless him to form people's government.  It is a historical need to elect YSRCP and dethrone TDP for the development of the state as well as for the welfare of the people, he said.

Jagan flayed Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for giving more publicity to Polavaram Project construction work which was moving at a snail’s pace. Jagan said Naidu remained silent on the promises made in AP Reorganisation Act-2014 for four years and he was enacting a drama now. The Opposition leader described Naidu as a liar and manipulator.  “Naidu is still cheating the people with false promises and planning to cheat the people again in the ensuing elections,” he said.

Farmers were not getting minimum support price for their produce in the State and Naidu was showing step-motherly attitude on cottage industries, Jagan said. Kothapeta MLA Chirla Jaggireddy, party leaders P S Bose, P Viswaroop, K Kanna Babu and many others participated in the programme. Earlier, Jagan started his Padayatra from Atreyapuram on the 199th day.
