Naidu to vent AP anger at NITI meet CM to boycott PM Modis address

: In a shrewd move to embarrass his bete noir Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is contemplating boycotting the latter's concluding address at the NITI Aayog's governing council meeting on June 17 along with a few other non-BJP chief ministers.

According to sources, Naidu has hit upon the idea as there could be no better forum for him to project the BJP as the principal villain of peace and development in Andhra Pradesh and how it had belied the expectations of the people.

Naidu, who has already consulted the chief ministers who share his view of the BJP's "misrule”, persuaded them to speak on behalf of the AP when they stage a walk out from the meeting.

Before exiting from the meeting, Naidu will put forth the demands of the state and would elicit a response from the Prime Minister on them. In all likelihood, Naidu would be given the opportunity to speak in the morning hours since time is given to the states in alphabetical order.
