Postal dept to recruit 2000 GDS workers

Vijayawada zonal post master general Elisha said that efforts were on to issue passports through the post offices. Elisha, who came to Amadalavalasa to inspect the newly constructed telephone building on Saturday. He said that there were 564 main post offices in the state and all of them have their own buildings.

He said that efforts were on to launch postal ATMs and asked the public at large to make use of the facilities and serves being provided by the postal department. He also called upon all othe staff members to work in coordination and improve the services. 

He said that 2000 more GDS employees would be recruited in the state. Postal superintendent W Naga Chaitanya, ASR R Navin Kumar and others were present.
