TDP to stand by Muslims on Triple Talaq

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who was part of the NDA when the BJP-led alliance government brought the Triple Talaq Bill in Parliament, said that the TDP was the first to raise its voice against the triple Talaq. 

Speaking at the Ramzan festivities organied in the Old City of Vijzyawada on Saturday, he said that it was only because of the TDP insistence that the Triple Talaq bill went to the Joint Parliamentary Committee.

 He assured the Muslim community that he would stop the bill, come what may, and said that he had objections to legal action against the men in the talaq cases. He said the TDP would stand by the Muslims.
