Exclusive parking for women auto drivers
- Collector directs officials to identify separate space in temple city

Tirupati: District Collector PS Pradyumna has directed the officials to provide designated auto stands for women auto-rickshaw drivers in Tirupati. Responding to the request made by women drivers, who got autos with the support of Rashtriya Seva Samithi (RASS), to provide auto stands for them in the city, he asked the officials to provide one stand separately for women at Mahila University and in some more key areas.
He visited RASS office on Saturday evening to participate in programme organised by District Yoga Association and launched ‘YOGRAMA’ website.
This was designed with the aim of making 100 villages in the district as Yoga villages. On this occasion, he also handed over the key of an auto-rickshaw provided by RASS to a woman driver Lakshmi.
On the request of her, he along with the General Secretary of RASS G Munirathnam travelled in her auto for a brief distance. RASS Executive Director Venkata Rathnam, Dr Koduru Balasubramanyam and others took part.
