Ramzan Celebrated with Fervour

Tirupati: Scores of Muslims thronged to Idgahs to participate in Ramzan special prayers organised in various parts of the district on Saturday. 

Muslims clad in new clothes assembled for prayers and later embraced each other with greetings. 

The festival marks the culmination of month long fast observed in the holy month of Ramzan. Mosques wore a festive look on this occasion and were illuminated colourfully. 

In Tirupati, MLA M Suguna, TUDA Chairman G Narasimha Yadav and former MP Chinta Mohan participated in the prayers whereas Tirupati MP V Varaprasad took part in prayers held at Srikalahasti. 

In Chittoor, Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy took part in special prayers organised at an Idgah in Palamaner.

Nellore: Agriculture Minister S Chandramohan Reddy said that the state government is committed to welfare of the Muslims.  

He mentioned that the TD government has been allocating more funds for their well-being. 

He along with Municipal Minister P Narayana participated in special prayers at Idgah grounds in Bara Shahid Dargah here on Saturday. 

They greeted Muslims, who attended for prayers. Ministers also laid foundation stone for development works at the dargah. 

Speaking to the media, Chandramohan Reddy said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had allocated Rs 20 crore for development of the Bara Shahid Dargah. 

He also said the state government sanctioned a minority residential school for girls of the district.  Later, Somireddy and Narayana released a poster of the Bara Shahid Dargah. City Mayor Sk Abdul Aziz and others were present.
