AP Govt to conduct special drive to resolve dotted lands issue

Amaravati: Deputy Chief Minister K E Krishna Murthy said that the state government would conduct a special drive from June 20 to July 5 to resolve the issue of dotted lands and those related to lands banned for registration under section 22A (Revenue Act).

Krishna Murthy said that revenue officials would conduct village level meetings and the teams comprising tahsildars, revenue inspectors, surveyors, VROs, officers of endowment , forest, irrigation and waqf boards would look into the issues of dotted lands and lands under section 22 A.

He suggested the people who had already applied on the above issues that they should attend the meetings along with necessary documents and the officials would make available of revenue records to them. He also said that the officials would send the final lists of lands after the lands are removed from 22A list.

Speaking on strike of barbers in temples, he said the was ready to pay Rs 25 on every token. He said that it was not possible to consider the barbers as regular employees and pay wage of Rs 15,000 per month.
