AP Govt to hike subsidy for oil given to fishers: MLA Datla Subbaraju
Eluru: The state government has conceded to hike subsidy on oil used by fishers for venturing into the sea. This was informed to the fishermen by Mummidivaram MLA Datla Subbaraju.
Participating in a meeting of TDP coordinators, he promised that he would work to solve problems in fishermen villages. The state government was committed to the welfare of the people belonging to fishermen community.
The MLA said that he would bring all problems of fishermen to the notice of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and ensure evolving new schemes to suit the fishermen community.
He urged the party cadres to bring awareness among people on the welfare schemes being implemented by the TDP government. The cadre should fight back on baseless criticism of the opposition parties, he added.
The MLA assured to instruct housing officials to complete all housing units grounded at the earliest. When some members informed him that there was inordinate delay in issue of houses to the poor, the MLA replied that he would talk to the RDO regarding the issue.
