He said the APTransco, which received acclaim from national and international agencies for its achievements for reduction of transmission losses up to 3%, has adopted a three-pronged approach ‘quality power, quality health and quality education to serve the people, Vijayanand said.

JMD of APTransco Dinesh Paruchuri along with JMD (vigilance) Umapathi and director Adam informed Vijayanand that 2,417 patients had been given treatment through MMU between May 4 and June 15 at Seethampeta and Etcherla agency areas. Similarly, 1,179 patients attended for lab tests in 68 villages.

The project developed by Bhavya Health Services ensures convergence of services for identification, screening, diagnosis, monitoring and treatment, follow-up and referral of high-risk cases in each remote tribal habitation. It focuses on seasonal and epidemic diseases, maternal health, neonatal and infant health etc.

Each MMU is equipped with latest medical devices (clinical pathology, bio- chemistry, hematology, serology, ECG) along with trained medical team. Energy Minister K Kala Venkata Rao suggested to CMD of APSPDCL M M Nayak and CMD of APEPDCL H Y Dora to fully focus on corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities for taking up pro-poor programs in their respective regions.

The Chief Minister insisted spreading awareness in the tribal areas on the Aarogya Ratham, Vijayanand said.  The Chief Minister pointed out that the State government was giving equal priority to all sections of people and there was no disparity between tribal and non-tribal areas in implementing welfare and development activities, APTransco CMD said.

“Drawing inspiration from the Chief Minister’s message, the APTransco has started the Aarogya Ratham project for the welfare of the people in remote areas as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals,” said A Chandrasekhar Reddy, media advisor to Energy and Infrastructure & Investments departments .
