Make blood donation a habit, Joint Collector tells people
Anantapur: Joint Collector Dilly Rao inaugurated blood donation camp organised by The Hans India and HMTV in association with Indian Red Cross Society at IRCS Office here on Sunday. The JC hailed the organisers for conducting the camp. Anemia is widespread in Anantapur district, he said.
Dilly Rao said that there are 114 thalassemia patients in the district who need blood at regular intervals. He called upon people to make blood donation a habit. Kapil Group employees, Hanuman Trust members and political leaders in large number participated in the camp.
The organisers handed over certificates to the donors.
Red Cross Society president A Ramakrishna, vice-president Sirappa, TDP leaders Jayaram Naidu and Narasimhulu, BC leaders Chandra Mohan and Naresh were present.
