Man kills wife, dumps body in pit

Makkuva (Vizianagaram): Police cracked a woman missing case after eight months. In a chilling incident, the woman’s husband killed her and dumped her body in a pit dug for the construction of toilet and covered it with concrete.  

K Krishna Prasad, Sub-Inspector of Makkuva mandal, told the media on Monday that Ch Ramanamma, 45, of Venkampeta village of Mukkavu mandal went missing from 15 October, 2017. 

Her parents and relatives including her husband Narsaiah searched for her but could not find her. After a few days, Narsaiah had fled from the village and relatives suspected his role in the missing of Ramanamma. 

The victim’s parents lodged a complaint with police who nabbed him after a long search. During police interrogation, Narsaiah revealed that he had killed her and dumped the body in toilet pit dug in his house and filled it pit with concrete. 

On Monday, the pit was opened and the body was exhumed which was totally in decomposed. Narsaiah said that they had been frequently quarrelling for the past few years on one issue or the other. On the day of incident, he lost control and killed her in a fit of rage.
