Vundavalli predicts YSRCP victory in 2019 elections
Rajamahendravaram: Former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar opined that YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy will win the State Assembly elections in 2019.
Participating in a `meet the press’ programme held at Press Club here on Monday, he said the people are against to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his policies. ``But, we cannot underestimate Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu who is a master in election management, who is having strength in field level,’’ he said.
During election campaign lakhs of people attended to Lakshmi Parvathi election campaign and she told the people that Chandrababu Naidu cheated TDP founder NT Rama Rao, but the people voted Chandrababu Naidu to power, the former MP said.
``Moreover, Chandrababu Naidu successfully dominated and took NTR family under his control as a precautionary measure. Pulav packets have to be given to people to attend Chandrababu Naidu's meetings, only transportation has to be provided to YS Jaganmohan Reddy’ meetings and the people come on their own to Pawan Kalyan’s meetings,’’ he said.
Polavaram Project will be completed between 2023-2024 and trying to construct it as a barrage and supply water through gravity is advisable. Politics has become a resource to accumulate wealth, he said.
Responding to a question, he said he decided not to join in any party after 60 years and decided to stayaway from any post. ``There is no question of my re-joining Congress as a case was filed against AP Bifurcation,’’ Vundavalli said.
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu failed to take a firm stand on special category status and preferred special package and set aside the advice given to him to issue a notice in Lok Sabha about the division of the state, Arun Kumar added.
