AP Govt to construct 20,163 houses in Nellore Urban Development Authority limits

Nellore: Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said that the state government is providing Rs 2.5 lakh for each house in urban areas as subsidy. The government would construct 20,163 houses for the poor in 151 villages located in 19 mandals of Nellore Urban Development Authority jurisdiction. The Minister inaugurated LLR Mela organised by the RTA at Narukuru village in Thotapalli Gudur mandal here on Monday.

Speaking at the meeting, Somireddy said that the Transport department is now providing 83 services through online. Transport Department is conducting Learner’s Licence Registration (LLR) Mela for one week across the district in 70 villages and 10 villages would be covered in a day. Minister gave a call to unemployed youth to make use of the opportunity for getting licences during the mela.

He appealed to the parents not to allow minors to ride the vehicles for avoiding fatal accidents saying it is an offence. He further said that they had sent proposals to construct 8,396 houses in Sarvepalli Assembly constituency.  387 houses in TP Gudur mandal; 3,405 houses in Muthukur mandal; 1,239 in Manubolu mandal and 3,365 houses in Venkatachalam mandal.

Later, the Minister inspected the government primary school at Nidiguntapalem in Venkatachalam mandal and instructed the authorities to construct a compound wall on war foot basis. Deputy Transport Commissioner K S Prasad and other officials were present.
