Admissions from June 25 at Municipal Junior College for Women

Nellore: City Mayor Sk Abdul Aziz said that admissions for Women’s Junior College in the city would start from June 25. Aziz, along with Municipal Commissioner S Alim Basha, visited construction works of the college at PNM Municipal School premises on Janda Street here on Monday.

Speaking to the media, Mayor said that majority girls were not pursuing Intermediate education due to huge fee structure and non-availability of institution at their locality. Corporation had identified the issue and started constructing a Junior College with Rs.2 crore on  Janda Street, he said.

He also explained that they have been providing admissions initially to the Municipal, ZP and government school students in the Women’s Junior College. Mayor said that quality education on par with Municipal Residential Junior college would be provided in the Women’s Junior College.

Material from Narayana Educational Institutions would be given to the students of Women’s Junior college. Initial admissions will be for MPC and BiPC streams this year, he added. He appealed to the students to utilise the opportunity in the special Junior College for women. TDP leaders were also present.
