Kadapa: Former minister and Congress leader C Ramachandraiah said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had a secret agreement with BJP for his personal and political benefits.

Speaking to media persons here on Monday, Ramachandraiah said Naidu who was launching tirades against BJP, especially on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in public, was maintaining  friendship with that party behind the scenes as was proved during NITI Aayog meet in Delhi on Sunday when he almost touched the feet Narendra Modi.

The Congress leader said if the Chief Minister was sincere in his demand for steel plant in Kadapa district, why did not he raise the issue with the Prime Minister during his several Delhi tours.  “Why he was not bothered about the steel plant and is now encouraging his party leaders to launch fasts and agitations now?,” he said.

He said Naidu who earlier lauded Modi’s demonetisation drive and introduction of Goods and Services Tax (GST) as “historical events” in Indian political scenario is now holding the same Prime Minister responsible for destroying Indian economy system. “People are wise enough to observe his opportunistic moves and they will teach a lesson to him in appropriate time,” he said.

Ramachandraiah alleged that crores of rupees of public money is being looted in the name of Amaravati capital construction, Pattiseema, etc., and other ongoing irrigation projects in the state. DCC president Sk Nazir Ahmad, PCC official spokesman N Sreenivasulu and others were present.
