3L jobs for youth in IT sector: Lokesh
Chirala: Minister for Panchayat Raj and Information Technology Nara Lokesh announced that the government has taken steps to provide over three lakh jobs to youth in information technology sector in the state. He visited the Chirala Assembly constituency on Tuesday and participated in the inauguration of development works.
Speaking at the public meeting after the inauguration of Zilla Parishad High School at Kothapet and oath taking of Chirala Agriculture Market Committee, Lokesh said that the government is planning to lay 25,000 km cement roads in the state and completed 17,000 km in the past four years already and committed to complete the remaining this year.
He listed that every panchayat is provided administrative building, water tap connection, toilet and LED bulbs to every household. Earlier, 50 lakh used to get pensions in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, but now, the government is providing the same number i.e; 50 lakh pensions to the eligible. He explained that the state has allocated Rs 1200 crore for the unemployment allowance to the youth.
He announced that Kia Motors, HCL and other companies came forward to set up their ventures in the state and announced that the government has taken steps to provide employment to three lakh youngsters in IT sector. The minister said that Rs 2,900 crore was allocated to Prakasam district under Water Grid project to provide drinking water. He assured that he will sanction Rs 72 crore to lay roads in the 24 village panchayats.
Minister for Forests, Environment, Science and Technology Sidda Raghava Rao said that the state is developed more in four years than the past 40 years. Minister for Marketing and Animal Husbandry Ch Adinarayana Reddy advised the market committee members to respond to the issues of farmers immediately. He announced that the state has allocated Rs 500 crore as market intervention fund. He assured that the state will buy the red gram, chick peas if the farmers die not receive MSP in the market.
