Crocodile attacks man

Guntur: In a bizarre incident, a crocodile attacked a farmer Balu Naik when he entered the Eedula Vagu stream at the 7th Mile Stone village near Macherla town in Guntur district on Tuesday.

According to sources, Balu Naik went to his field at 7th Mile Stone village in Macherla mandal this morning to pump water to his field. As soon as he entered the Eedula Vagu stream to lay a pipe to draw water, a crocodile forcibly dragged him inside the stream and caught his right leg.

When he screamed for him, another farmer Nageswara Rao working near the field swung into action. He rescued him from the clutches of crocodile and shifted him to a local hospital for treatment. He is undergoing treatment and he is out of danger.
