Plea to promote fencing sport

Vijayawada: A representation was given to Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) vice-president and managing director N Bangaru Raju by the newly-elected Fencing state president V Nageswara Rao and secretary Nagam Satish Babu for developing the sport here on Wednesday.

The fencing president and the secretary requested the SAAP MD to appoint senior fencing players as coaches to develop the sport. 

They appealed to provide complete learning purpose equipment for the players. A request was made to develop the sport in the districts and organised one hour training class every day for the players. 

They proposed to launch a calendar on fencing sports for the year. They said that the meeting and elaborate discussion on the development of the fencing sport concluded on a positive note.

The fencing state president and secretary gave a bouquet to the SAAP MD on the occasion.
