STUAP protests in front of Collectorate
Ongole: Members of the Prakasam district unit of State Teachers Union of Andhra Pradesh (STUAP) protested in front of the Collectorate here on Thursday, demanding that the government withdraw decisions made against the government, municipal and aided schools in the state and education in them.
K Erraiah, president of the Prakasam district unit of the STUAP asked the government to withdraw the orders cancelling the DDO powers to the headmasters, issue notional increments without delay to the special teachers, adjust pay scale difference to the 2008 DSC teachers from 2010 PRC, pay the pending salaries to the aided school teachers through CMFS by MEOs and implement promotions and recruitments immediately.
Ch Srinivasulu, general secretary of the union in the district said that the schools didn’t receive the books and uniforms yet even though it is about 10 days after the schools reopened.
He wanted immediate supply of uniforms and textbooks, recruitment of computer teachers in all schools, release of special grant for development of infrastructure in schools, promote panchayat raj teachers on ad hoc model, cancel illegal transfers of teachers, allow only SCERT syllabus to teach in the schools and address all the pending issues in the model schools and residential schools.
